Partial-Flake Epoxy Flooring – Stone Silicate
Our Diamond Effects and Stone Silicate coating systems offer a more advanced version of partial chip coatings compared to our Premium series. The main difference is the combination of thermoplastic and mica stone in the flake blends. Thermoplastic chips provide color and contrast, while mica stone adds a unique “reflectivity” that thermoplastic alone cannot achieve. Stone Silicate and Diamond Effects concrete coating systems consist of three layers: a moisture-mitigating epoxy base layer, a color coat, and a clear topcoat. The key variation between Stone Silicate and Diamond Effects is the ratio of thermoplastic to mica mineral flakes. Stone Silicate has a 90% mica stone flake blend, while Diamond Effects uses a 60% mica chip blend. Regardless of the blend, these partial-flake coating systems create a stunning appearance in various settings like basements, bathrooms, kitchens, walkways, patios, as well as interior retail and commercial spaces.
